Floor Levelling & Smoothing
A new floor covering is only as good as the subfloor beneath it. Dips, bumps and changes in level show through parquet and vinyl, make floorboards creak and cause doors to scrape. We check your floor, measure the unevenness precisely and even it out using the right method: with levelling compound, dry fill or a substructure, depending on what the room and the floor covering need.

Uneven screed, old floorboards, height differences between rooms: we even out and level floors so that parquet, vinyl or tiles lie neatly later on.

Levelling with self-levelling compound
Self-levelling compounds for screed and concrete, applied at the right layer thickness: the level base for parquet, vinyl, laminate or tile.

Dry fill & dry screed
For timber joist floors and old buildings, where the build-up has to stay light: levelling with loose fill and dry screed boards, with no long drying time.

Matching heights between rooms
We even out steps and edges at doorways so that the new floor runs through continuously, with no edge to trip over.

Whether parquet, floorboards, vinyl, laminate or carpet: we prepare the subfloor the way the covering requires and, on request, lay the new floor as well.

From the first conversation to handover

Inspection & measuring
We look at the floor on site, measure the unevenness and clarify with you which covering will go on it later.

Levelling & drying
We prepare the subfloor and even it out using the right method. With levelling compounds, we build the drying time into the schedule from the start.

Handed over ready for laying
Finally, we check the flatness once more and hand over a floor on which the new covering will lie neatly. If you wish, we can lay it straight afterwards.

Frequently asked questions
When does a floor need levelling?
Whenever the subfloor isn't flat enough for the new covering. Thin coverings in particular, such as vinyl or glued-down parquet, show every irregularity. We measure it and tell you honestly whether levelling is necessary.
How long does levelling take?
The levelling itself is usually quick. What matters is the drying time of the levelling compound, which varies with layer thickness and product. With dry fill and boards, work can often carry on straight away.
Does this work on old wooden floorboards too?
Yes. On timber joist floors and boarded floors, we prefer to work with dry fill or a substructure, because the build-up has to stay light there.
Do you lay the new floor as well?
Gladly. We lay parquet, floorboards, vinyl and laminate and also take care of skirting boards and transitions. You'll find more on our Floors & Parquet page.
What does it cost to level a floor?
That depends on the area, the height difference and the method. Once we've had a look at the floor, you'll get a clear quote. Our prices are for labour only; materials are charged in addition, depending on the product.
